Welcome to the pre-show for what could be the biggest game of the semester for the MU team. The fans are out in full force. A few of The Warrior staff were out here since 8am and they got seats in the last row of the lower bowl, so do the math on what time you had to be here to get front row seats. I feel anyone who is either in the way back of the upper section, or anyone too drunk to actually appreciate the game. However if you aren’t at this game…lets be honest, you really screwed up. No offense but you really should be here.
Marquette is facing a formitable opponent in Bo Ryan’s Badgers, who have suffered 1 loss this season in a game similiar to MU losing to NDSU, in losing to Missouri State. The badgers have three great players at least in Alando Tucker, Biran Butch and Kammron Taylor. These three are going to make the game very tough for Marquette. MU really needs Dom, Wes, and Jerel to match up very wel, and we’ll need our perimiter shooting game to be flawless otherwise MU will be done early. The Badgers of course are hopign to take the crowd out of this game early whereas MU is hoping the group woull be a great 6th man. This game has been well hyped and I can only hope it lives up to expectations and MU is able to pull out a victory.
I have never seen a larger sea of gold on one side of the court. Marquette fans have poured out for this. Ever seat is taken up, signs are in full force. Everything from I wanted to go to Wisconsin Then I got A Job, to You Suck, To Hi Mom, to Following the Game… this will honestly be huge

Wisconsin is going up with back to back rival games. After playing Marquette they’ll go home to face UW-Milwaukee.

Post Game wrap up
Personally I think the game was not so much won by the badgers but lost by MU. The couldn’t make the shots they needed tow and the refs were definatley in the Badgers pocket. This one will hurt, but MU should be able to rebound and have a good non-conference season. MU falls to 9-2 on the season.
MU was outshot by 11% from the field, 16% from the arch, but they still made a few more fould shots than the Badgers
MU on the season is really suffering the loss of Steve Novak shooting only .322 from three point range, and .443 from field goals

How big of a win – it’s very big, to be our first true road game thats a great team, they played a great game, it shows a sign that the team is maturing. team needs to keep working, players have so much potential, some get discouraged because they don’t get a lot of minutes, There are going to be some great players

MU-wisconsin is played like a street fight. I expected that kind of game. Even though we made some bad decisions they just kept bouncing back. 1st Road game some times you get into these situations, and you need to get up and down the court eafh time. I though maybe brian was a bit anxious, but he did some nice things later. The team likes these time of games and type of battles. In this type of game, call it gut feeling, I thought Travon, with the type of player James and Matthews are, he’s a guy who’ll get in there with his feet. We didn’t do anything really different, but the help and the teamates were there for Michael. Without that type of effort, you won’t stop a team like MU. If james would have gotten hot sooner, we would have been on the bus already
We’ve shot as poor (as MU did) and we’ve won games. Did we miss because of the defense? Or did the team miss because the shot just didn’t ok. Because some team can come out firing and make 5-6 threes that are tough.
The first flurey of turnovers were some walks and we brought the ball down in traffic. And at the end it was either going to be a layup or a turnover
We’ve been shooting the ball pretty well from the foul line.
Cam’s leadership: he was strong with the ball then in some other situations.
Every once in a while we got stuck with the ball and we couldn’t move with that ball.
Perspective on Rivalry between Tom and Bo: Its all good, do you know how many grads there are out there that watched this game? I’d say the same thing if we were on the other side. Wisconsin has pretty good basketball, and when I say Wisconsin I’m talking about the state. We all have players from the state.
Learning about today: this is how strong you have to be on the road and physical you have to get. Playing in a tough environment. they were two threes away form being back in the game.

One of those days with a great crowd, its unfortunate that we had to lose the game, we didnt execute well enough, we did make some shots. Their executuion was very good. there is room for us to improve. We have exams to go through, we both have big games to go through. We didn’t play well, but we just continued to go. We didn’t do a good job guarding the dribble, we had some foul trouble. It’s hard to guard him. Tucker really hurt us on his drives. Our defense could have been better.
The third and the fourth foul were tough to swallow for Ouse, it should have been a lose ball. losing Ouse changed the dynamic. They made it tough for us to make shots, we didn’t make it tough enough for them. Ball pressure limited our defensive pressure. The greatest skill wisconsin had collectivley was passing. We didn’t talk as well on the floor as we need too. The rivarly is great, I’m sure they’ll have great ratings. I hope its continued to be televised nationally. They care and thats great. We have to rely on ball movement, when we move it at a high rate, every time we spread it around, we got something good. Times we attacked too quick. Times when we let the defense set. I think we would like to see David take a few more shots from the permiter.
